I was told by a salesperson at Low Yat that one could not upgrade the Celeron 540 chip on the 4315 Acer Aspire Celeron notebook to a better Intel chip in the future. The person is probably wrong. It is not exactly what I had in mind when I bought the 4315 Acer Aspire Celeron notebook. Provided a chip/processor upgrade is cheap then it could be fun.
However, I might as well buy a new better one instead of trying to do an expensive chip upgrade it in the future. I am referring to a new notebook with better graphics, better weight to power ratio, better chip, you know; the whole shaabBaang.
Nonetheless, it should be not more than MYR555 for a 1.6 GHz Intel Core DUO T2330 533MHZ 1MB processor upgrade. Anything above MYR900 then I guess you may as well save up for a new & better notebook.
