All Night Return Drive from Singapore

26 October, 2008 (17:27) | VE South East Asia | By: a.i. editor

Heck, do I feel so tired now after returning from my Johor Bahru/Singapore trip with my lady. After the first two trips by plane to Manila & Bali respectively, it was a fair decision for us to make the third & last trip to Singapore by car. I was so tired of going by plane. Going by car to Johor Bahru, Malaysia took about 5 hours, including the stops for resting. It would have taken only about 45 minutes by plane but the bus trip to the airport & waiting in queue was not appealing to me & my lady anymore. I will write more on my Singapore trip in the future. At the moment all I can say about my Singapore trip now is that my first impression of the Singapore city is good, like a thriving urban garden of the tropics. I drove through the night & arrived home at about 5am in the morning. I feel very tired but the experience is overall a memorable one. Happy week to you voyage echoes readers!

Onboard the KL Beijing Night Flight

27 September, 2008 (17:55) | VE East Asia, VE South East Asia | By: a.i. editor

Pretty stewardesses, a comfortable seat, virtually endless supply of fresh juices, friendly people sitting near you; what else does a bachelor need for a happy flight? It’s a shame that the television screen was so far away from me on the plane. I reckon I should request front row seats in future flights so that I can have the home theater experience. How many hours does it take to fly from Kuala Lumpur to Malaysia?

Honestly, I forgot now but I guess it will take about six to seven hours. My flight to Beijing back in September 2007 was a night flight. You won’t feel the long hours of travel on a night flight unless you have a problem sleeping on the plane. I did so I was pretty much awake, watching the on-flight movies the whole night. The food is good on the Malaysian airlines Beijing flight. Some rice & meat dish. A good voyage.

New Boeing 787 Dreamliner: Pleasing Passengers

25 September, 2008 (12:32) | VE North America, VE liFesTyle | By: a.i. editor

Looking at the interior, the interior of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner looks really modern, shiny, curvaceous & pretty. It seems that the Boeing designers have really put an extra effort for the plane’s interior to impress the buyers. It will be a splendid experience to be flying in the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Uzbekistan Airways was mentioned to be purchasing a few of them & they are the airlines that I prefer to use to fly into Russia. I hope someday I will be on one of them!
