Onboard the KL Beijing Night Flight

27 September, 2008 (17:55) | VE East Asia, VE South East Asia | By: a.i. editor

Pretty stewardesses, a comfortable seat, virtually endless supply of fresh juices, friendly people sitting near you; what else does a bachelor need for a happy flight? It’s a shame that the television screen was so far away from me on the plane. I reckon I should request front row seats in future flights so that I can have the home theater experience. How many hours does it take to fly from Kuala Lumpur to Malaysia?

Honestly, I forgot now but I guess it will take about six to seven hours. My flight to Beijing back in September 2007 was a night flight. You won’t feel the long hours of travel on a night flight unless you have a problem sleeping on the plane. I did so I was pretty much awake, watching the on-flight movies the whole night. The food is good on the Malaysian airlines Beijing flight. Some rice & meat dish. A good voyage.

Humorous Las Vegas Taxi Driver

22 August, 2008 (03:43) | VE North America | By: a.i. editor

The most humorous experience I had in Las Vegas city was in a taxi ride. My self & my family arrived at the airport & we wanted to go straight to the hotel to unpack our bags, rest, & be ready for some Las Vegas tours. It was a fortunate experience for me & my family to have a taxi driver who is friendly & possess a good sense of humor. The taxi driver was talking throughout the entire trip. The strange & funny thing was that a lot of it did not make much sense to me. Well, at least he was trying to be funny. I guess he was practicing his stand up comedy act for a Las Vegas show of sorts. However, there was one moment where he was truly funny.

It happened when the taxi was slowing down. The taxi driver suddenly shouted out loud ‘There are so many speed bumps in Las Vegas; I hate Speed Bumps’! Throughout the entire taxi ride, we did not even go through a single speed bump! The Las Vegas trip followed our stay in Los Angeles where we visited a few major tourist attractions like Knot’s Berry Farm (Get your Knotts berry farm tickets) & Universal Studios. Do take a look at the online travel guides for more tourist attraction information. Also, for more deals on American tours, you may want to sign up to a free newsletter from Trusted Tours & Attractions. Chinese Visa Application at OSK Building

3 August, 2008 (09:49) | VE East Asia | By: a.i. editor

Malaysians traveling to Beijing are required to apply for a travel visa. You, as a Malaysian, should go to the Chinese Visa office located inside the OSK building along Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur to make a visa application. Do not go to the main Chinese embassy building on Jalan Ampang because the visa services are not located within the building compound.
