Onboard the KL Beijing Night Flight

Pretty stewardesses, a comfortable seat, virtually endless supply of fresh juices, friendly people sitting near you; what else does a bachelor need for a happy flight? It’s a shame that the television screen was so far away from me on the plane. I reckon I should request front row seats in future flights so that I can have the home theater experience. How many hours does it take to fly from Kuala Lumpur to Malaysia?

Honestly, I forgot now but I guess it will take about six to seven hours. My flight to Beijing back in September 2007 was a night flight. You won’t feel the long hours of travel on a night flight unless you have a problem sleeping on the plane. I did so I was pretty much awake, watching the on-flight movies the whole night. The food is good on the Malaysian airlines Beijing flight. Some rice & meat dish. A good voyage.

A Glimpse: Stewardess Preparing on Beijing Flight

20 September, 2008 (06:15) | VE East Asia, VE South East Asia | By: a.i. editor

On board the MAS (Malaysian Airline System) flight to Beijing, I managed to take a picture, a glimpse of the steward/stewardess food preparation area. I was seated just behind the right wing of the plane & the steward/stewardess food preparation area was just a few seats behind me. It was dark & the people around me were sleeping. I felt good to be on my way to Beijing to be with my lady that I could not sleep much so I took out my digital camera & started taking some photos.

As you can see from the above picture, the stewardess was wearing a green sweater of sorts. Either she was feeling cold or she was the head stewardess or like it because the other stewardesses were only wearing the normal MAS stewardess blouse. She was probably making my hot chocolate or fruit juice for me. Lol. My self as usual, always request for a generous servings of drinks on flight. I must have asked for three drinks that night. It feels good to be drinking hot chocolate on a night flight. Super Voyage!

Many People in KLIA Flight Gates Corridor at Night

8 September, 2008 (22:46) | VE East Asia | By: a.i. editor

The above picture shows one of the KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) corridors leading to the MAS (Malaysian Airline System) Beijing flight gate. There are many people from all over the world walking, looking for the flight gates for their flights. As you can see, even at night the corridors are filled with many people. I was on my way to catch a flight to Beijing to be with my lady for a week holiday back in September 2007.

The interesting thing about the flight gates corridor is the spot light on the ceiling. You can see that they seem to be randomly arranged like stars in the sky at night. There could be some underlying pattern to the obvious randomness as absolute randomness would prove inefficient for lighting the corridor. The shiny floor reflects the spotlights on the ceiling but there is no obvious glare when you look at the floor. Splendid start to a Voyage!
