Satay: A Malay Traditional Dish
Satay/Sate - a very tasty meal from the Malay tradition, which kind of reminds one to the Turkish & Russian kebab or Sashlik. Beef, chicken pieces on bamboo sticks can be dipped in tentatively sweet peanut sauce. Even when eaten on its own, the Satay produces an interesting & unusual sweet taste. This dish is distributed not only among the Malays, other cultures in Malaysia like Chinese and Indians frequently savor the dish too which makes it a truly Malaysian delicacy.
Accompanying beverage would be a choice of tea, coffee, Milo, fruit juice or the typical syrup or orange cordial. Due to the fact that the climate in Malaysia is hot enough, the use of cold drinks can seriously feel refreshing. However, do avoid drinking too much iced drinks as the extreme cold & heat do not mix well & is probably not good for the health. Relish the Malaysian Satay dish. I wish you a pleasant meal!
