Good Ol’ Fish & Chips

12 January, 2008 (11:15) | VEW cuisine | By: a.i. editor

Good Old Fish ‘n’ ChipsThe fish used to make the dish is usually sole, cod & even occasionally, shark meat. Fish fillet coated in breadcrumbs or tempura flour & fried to a crispy golden brown.

The outer layer is crispy while the inside of the deep fried fish fillets is tender like steamed to perfection. I wish I got an image of it. Usually one would see just the fish, potato chips & a packet of tartar sauce in a bag made of old newspapers.

Anyway, the fish & chips dish in the picture is decently presented. The content of the dish is laid out on a clean plate. Thick cut potato chips, a slice of lemon, a dash of chili or tomato sauce, generous portion of salads & tartar sauce are ready to tempt one’s palate. The fish & chips dish looks good, complete & fulfilling.
