The hotel that I stayed in Beijing was called the Forest & Land Hotel. Yes, it is a strange name for a hotel. I found it online after about 2 weeks of budget hotel searching. Strange is it not, that good, budget hotels only can be found only with hard searching work. Well I did find one for my Beijing trip & I will write about my personal experience but not in this post. The forest & land hotel is located near the main road of Qian Guai Bang Chaoyangmen Street Beijing. Yes it is a mouthful to say but it is a strategic area for budget travelers.
As you can see in the Beijing map on a previous post, the area is a pleasant half hour walk away from the infamous Tiannamen Square, Beijing. To arrive to the forest & land hotel by car or taxi, you must keep your eye on side of the road & inform the taxi driver to not miss the turning because the hotel is located in what seems to be an alley way. Above is a picture of the brochure with the address of the hotel located on it. Nonetheless, the hotel looks unique enough among its surrounding buildings & easily noticeable from a slowly passing car. Happy Voyage!
