Inside the China Visa Application Office KL

26 August, 2008 (03:52) | VE East Asia | By: a.i. editor

Let me show you the inside of the China visa application office in the OSK building at Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is possible that you expect plenty of people to be in queue in the office. It could be so especially during the past few months prior to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

However, when I was there & took the picture, there were far less people in queue as I has expected. Just after the entrance in the office is the reception area. There you can ask the lady where & how to go about making your visa application to China. The lady or maybe another male attendant will give you a visa application form to fill up with your personal details which include your passport number, length of stay, & etc.

My 2 Cents on the Current Gold Price

22 August, 2008 (14:58) | VE East Asia, VE Europe, VE North America | By: a.i. editor

Gold is a hot topic especially with the ‘GO FOR GOLD’ Olympic season in Beijing, China nowadays. How about the real gold for people to store their value of money? August 22nd 2008: Gold has taken a price plunge from its highs of $800-$1000 down to > $770 recently.

Gold investors who have their gold value in the plunge are hoping for the gold price to recover & go up once again. Now, according to the economy law of supply & demand, new investors considering gold is now wary after the significant gold price-drop hence the demand is low for gold. The anticipated low demand for gold means that the gold produced to satisfy the demand before the price drop previously is of over supply. Stay Tuned: Another Gold Price Plunge Makes Sense

Humorous Las Vegas Taxi Driver

22 August, 2008 (03:43) | VE North America | By: a.i. editor

The most humorous experience I had in Las Vegas city was in a taxi ride. My self & my family arrived at the airport & we wanted to go straight to the hotel to unpack our bags, rest, & be ready for some Las Vegas tours. It was a fortunate experience for me & my family to have a taxi driver who is friendly & possess a good sense of humor. The taxi driver was talking throughout the entire trip. The strange & funny thing was that a lot of it did not make much sense to me. Well, at least he was trying to be funny. I guess he was practicing his stand up comedy act for a Las Vegas show of sorts. However, there was one moment where he was truly funny.

It happened when the taxi was slowing down. The taxi driver suddenly shouted out loud ‘There are so many speed bumps in Las Vegas; I hate Speed Bumps’! Throughout the entire taxi ride, we did not even go through a single speed bump! The Las Vegas trip followed our stay in Los Angeles where we visited a few major tourist attractions like Knot’s Berry Farm (Get your Knotts berry farm tickets) & Universal Studios. Do take a look at the online travel guides for more tourist attraction information.
